Last night I went to a ceilidh

What’s a ceilidh? - A social gathering with traditional celtic music and dance

I had fun did lots of dancing and the live music was great. meet some new people all good.

cool - in Blenheim?

Yes in Blenheim it was a fundraiser event but the musicaians come from picton. They practice once a week at the irish pub in picton so thinking of goinging up there sometime to listen to them. The Girlfriend of one of the musicaians is also from chch in fact was a year behind me in high school. We chated for quite a bit as we have some simular hobbies. It would be nice to make some interesting friends in the area. picton is after all only 25mins away.

There's a folk festival up here (wellington Folk Festival, Labour Weekend) and has at least one ceilidh and much other traditional celtic music
