relative illness

so, why is it that when you have a mysterious ailment, everyone wants to second- and third- guess your doctors?
I get to swallow a camera on Monday.
I told my dad about this, and now his wife has IMed me and is trying to figure out what might be wrong with me.
I guess it's her way of showing concern.

I think it is because they want to make sure that you are getting the best care possible and if there are questions, seeing another doctor for a second opinion can be a feasable option. There are alot of people who care about you and want you to be in your best health so they thing that this is a good way of showing you they care.

I do hope that everything goes well with the procedure and that if there is something there, the doctors will find it and treat it so that you are back to feeling 100% really soon! Good luck! :)

You're right, of course you are...
it's just so PAINFUL to have someone who barely knows me, and knows nothing about medicine, ask all of these personal questions and come up with all sorts of things that you've already been tested for.

I do understand about that. When I was going though my cancer, people at work kept bugging me about how I was doing, treatments etc... It got real annoying after a while which is why I dont say much now about what is going on with me so I dont get repeats of what happened earlier last year.

If they get too annoying, try thinking about them wearing a big pair of donkey ears on their heads, and their noses are long snouts. You know, jack asses. Hopefully, it will help you lauph a bit to move on. :)

It's because some people think they know everything.

Good luck with the doctor-y stuffs.
