Yeah, that's kind of at the top of my list at the moment.

Totally iPod Touch.

Calendar and Contacts can sync from google contacts.
To-do list, there's an app for that.
Documents, you can get data-viz's documents to go, or you can get a drop box account (free) and use their app which stores your docs on the web and also view them.

Good Luck!

I don't think you are going to find much that isn't a phone beyond the touch. Only thing I would consider is cost delta between an iphone and an ipod touch.

If you're running Vista (or I guess Win 7) then the hotsync cable is not supported. You can use it to charge your Palm Pilot, but not to sync.

If your Palm Pilot is bluetooth-enabled, then buy a bluetooth adapter and you *should* be able to hotsync through that.

Belkin make a nice cheap one that should do the trick.

No vista. I run OS X.6 (snow leopard) on the laptop and linux FC12 at work.
I don't do windows.

The Palm is old enough/cheap enough that it doesn't even have Bluetooth, though. Zire 21.

Ah. I've got a T|X which has bluetooth. I don't really want to upgrade it and I certainly don't want to pay for intarwebz on it.

I want an appointment calendar, contact lists, an ebook reader and a few silly games (Solitaire, Bejewelled, stuff like that). All of which I have right now. I also have Documents to Go which gives me Word, Excel, and Access on the Palm.

I don't want a Kindle -- I want to own the books I buy.

I'm not sure I want to switch to an iPod Touch (I have a Nano which does fine for my music).

So I'm going to have to get a bluetooth adapter for the desktop I suppose. :(
