At first glance, I really thought you surreptitouisly gave drugs to one of your friends. An odd use of grammar. Local usage perhaps?

Interesting. I just looked it up, and it appears to be a dialect thing. It should have been dragged, but I guess where I live, drug is accepted as the simple past tense for the word. (In fact, no one has mentioned this to me before and I've used it a lot, so I didn't even realize that it wasn't "proper" English.)
