The first evidence that millions of tons of a greenhouse gas 20 times more potent than carbon dioxide is being released into the atmosphere from beneath the Arctic seabed has been discovered by scientists.
Once again demonstrating that we clearly do not dictate the greenhouse gas levels of this planet.
But honestly, I'm not too worried. I, of course, could be wrong, but by the time I'd know that, we'd all be dead. But if we're all still alive when we find out what's going on, I'll have been right.
Keep being a good steward of the earth, yes, but relax [smile].
I wish I could feel that way, but even if we aren't around when the full effects of this will be felt, my kids and grandkids will (hopefully) be. It's our fault for not getting fossil fuel consumption under control, and now they may have to deal with things like famine and mass extinction. That's a horrible burden to place on people who are only very young or not even born yet.
