For the last two years, I've been a teacher for a youth group at my church, girls, ages 12-13.  When I was first asked to teach them, I was completely intimated.  Some people seem to have a really natural way with young people this age and some just don't.  I'm part of the second group.

Aw, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was so completely down in the dumps when i stopped teaching (long story) because I was so attached to my students. But at least you can always volunteer to do something similar and you learned that you're good at something that you didn't realize you would be good at! So yeah, it sucks, but I'm sure you'll put the experience to good use! ♥

Thanks for your kind words. I was actually surprised how emotional I got over it. I knew I wouldn't be teaching forever, of course, but when the time came to say good-bye to them, it broke my heart a little. I actually think it's too bad you're not teaching anymore. I have a feeling you're one of those people who are really good at working with teenagers and young adults. (I don't think I am, I was just fortunate to have an exceptionally great group of girls.) The world certainly needs all the good teachers we can find.

I know the two ladies who are going to be their new teachers, and they're awesome. I'm sure the girls will really love them. I suppose I couldn't keep them all to myself forever.
