the "Outside of this, for me, there's nothing" line - I thought she meant her work in the police force? You know, like in that world, there's nothing she can do except stay in CID and solve cases and try to work out why she's there?

For me, the ominousness of the line delivery, the lingering camera pause, the general creepy vibes, it's definitely one of those stand out lines we get every episode that translates on multiple levels, for sure. RE: outside of this (policing, literally in the context of the conversation) + "outside of this," this being the 80s compared to her present day.

I just think the tone doesn't quite imply just policing, you know? There's something more there, and as a thing to say, it's pretty damning for what she might subconsciously be beginning to realize about her own state of affairs (kid being dead perhaps, her own self being actually dead and not fighting for anything anymore). Her desire to get home, not so much high anymore.

I love that Molly has become this giant elephant in the room. I'm actually preferring this lack of address from Alex because whereas before it was all the time, every ep, got to get home to Molly, having visions of her, etc., now it's like somewhere in the recesses of her brain she's becoming less in denial about it. *flails hands about* Maybe if they were still doing the same stuff as before I'd be even more worried about this element of theory being untrue, but the more eps this series the more I'm getting back to my original mode of that one thing being Quite True. Anyway, graffiti being all "for a good time call GENE," (YEAH YEAH BECAUSE HE WAS A RENT BOY), Molly waz here (DEAD DEAD DEADER THAN DEAD SAD), and then infamous Gene <3 Sam, which (while totally a snap at the internet from teh writers), is really Alex's brain sticking with the concept that Gene didn't murder Sam, like she's trying to suss out in her real investigation. GO GRAFFITI GO.

Yes, yes, me too, I'm enjoying freaking out about it immensely. ;) During my insomnia the other day I occupied part of my time with freaking out (again) about how Theory/Supertheory FITS SO PERFECTLY with things as they are so yes, that one thing might well be Quite True! Molly waz here (DEAD DEAD DEADER THAN DEAD SAD) <--- THIS SO MUCH. I MEAN, HOW MUCH MORE OBVIOUS CAN YOU GET SRSLY. Ah, I like your theory on the Gene ♥ Sam thing, I could only come up with "They're messing with the slashers and the Galex shippers at the same time" myself. ;)

I like that you do :D We got the whole quoting thing drilled into our brains before our graduation exams lol but I think it was mostly directed to the others from my class, cause I never got a quoting mistakes in my essays *shrugs*

It was okay & I liked it alright, it just didn't get me all that excited. Idk... I guess my expectations are too high when I go to the cinema once a year xD and the last time I was, I saw The Proposal, which imo was a lot more hilarious, in a not-rubbing-it-in-your-face style. It's not like I regret going or anything xD I just laughed more when I read your post lol
