Would you consider getting married legally by a judge then saving up for a wedding when he returns? Maybe after you've been married a while and your families come to accept it, they'll be more likely to help pay for it all. I'm sorry they're not being more helpful. That's pretty terrible.
That was my original plan... but as far as my dad is concerned thats "living in sin" and when he said that to me i sad "really dad, do you really think I care if i'm so called 'Living in sin?' What year is it?" Apparently they've both decided if we do that we're just as well as married and they won't give us any money because we went against their wishes. I really dont know what to do any more. I'm ready to just say screw them and do this all the way i want, but because of my crazy catholic family, I have no idea what their reaction would be. (considering I'm the first one to get married and so on) And in all reality, I would be perfectly capable of paying for my own wedding when he gets back. I just wish there wasn't so much goddamned drama over all this. I hate it!
