☾ Nightmare Two ☾ Action/Video for Cherrygrove

Nov 20, 2011 03:43

[Forward dated a few hours to right before sunrise. Because I probably won't be awake in three hours.
The feed opens to Luna, setting on a bench in the middle of Cherrygrove. Her face is to the sky, frowning. If one listens carefully, you might hear some mutterings to the effect of star placement inaccuracies and timings of the sun and moon. ( Read more... )

Um... your highness... Nopony knows how to get magic back, or to leave... but we can leave. It just... happens at random.

Therein lies our confusion! If magic does not exist in this world, how art we expected to leave? We must have been brought here by magic, but if there ist no magic...

We don't know. One day, they're just... gone. Their things, their Pokemon, everything that's theirs is gone. It's like they were never here.

[She contemplates this.]

Tis strange... Is this not the means of magic?

[He's pretty much already at the beach end after waking up at the inn. He's pretty tired too, as he ran most of the way there. At least the sleep and food, so much food-, has done him some good. He looks healthy again, really.]

Oh, hey, Luna! I'm just by the sea, if you let me know where you are I'll come get you, 'kay?

[Though he kind of recognises the area, so he'll start heading over anyway. He probably looks a bit silly though, as he's totally snuggling an egg in his arms. N'aww.]

[Horray for feeling better! ^^ On the other hand... Luna has been traveling all night, so she's a bit tired herself. But hey! Who needs sleep anyways?]

We art near a... Poke-center? [She can only guess what that means.]

Pray tell, in what direction is the sea?

[Yup! Though it makes a lot of sense, they're all rather unprepared in the beginning...]

A Poke-center? I know where that is! You can rest up your Pokemon in there if you battled and stuff. The sea's to the South and West of the town.

[He starts speeding up.]

I'll be there in a few mins though!

[Luna is going to have to switch her sleep schedule to keep up with everyone. But... after years of sleeping during the day, it'll be hard.]

Battling? The animals in this world do battle? [She's still trying to understand wtf this world even is.

She gives a nod.] We shalt wait fort thou here, then.]

Hello again, Luna. I won't speak for everyone else, but forgiven and forgotten, as far as you and I are concerned. Anyone would be disoriented coming to a place like this. [ Katara is very, very happy to see you're adjusting well. She'll offer up a friendly smile, then see about answering your question. ]

I can't say there's a way to get it BACK, but... remember before, I mentioned my friends coming and going?

[She gives an uncertain smile back.] We thank thee, Lady Katara, and we do apologize for our previous actions towards thou.

[She gives a nod, because she does remember.] Indeed, we do. However, our confusion lies with our arrival and leaves. If it takes magic to bring us here, and magic does not exist in this world... how ist one to leave this world?

It's okay. You didn't mean anything harmful by it. I'm sorry if I overreacted.

[ A short beat, then she goes on. ]

That's the thing. One of my friends was born blind, and she uses earthbending to see. She couldn't use any of her other abilities, but she could still use enough of her earthbending to see while she was here... [ She looks unsure for a moment. ]

And there was... this incident months ago. I'd traveled back to Cherrygrove to meet my friends, and the next thing I remember is all of us waking up in Violet City, which is a week away. No one could remember anything that had happened for four days. All I could remember were these strange dreams, and everyone had their powers back and were in their normal bodies. I think... I think that... for a few days we DID have our powers back. If I'm right, then Johto only suppresses them somehow, and they're not completely gone.

[ She's thoughtful, recalling-- Sorry for talking your ear off here, Luna. D: ]

It seems like the only explanation that makes sense to me. Back home when they killed the moon spirit all of we waterbenders lost our abilities. The same is true for firebenders when the sun is eclipsed.

If you can manage to get it back, you're doing far better than I am.

[She frowns, understanding the implications that come with that statement.]

Thou meanist to say, there ist no way to regain our magical powers?

Not that I've...

... Why are you talking like that?

[She blinks.]

...Ist something wrong with our speech?

[And here she thought she was doing good to not be yelling.]

[Oh hi again, don't mind him. Just. One thing stood out to him amongst all of this, even more so than the chance to rub in the fact he was right.]

Magic isn't a thing, and you can't get back what isn't real.

[Luna doesn't like you very much, sir. She narrows her eyes at him.]

Despite the fact thou's brain ist not large enough to comprehend the mere possibility that magic may exist, doth not make it any less true nor any less real. It merely makes thou's brain tinier than that of a dunce.

Pray tell, doth thou have an explanation fort thou's arrival in this world if magic doth not exist?

[OH HE DON'T LIKE YOU EITHER SO.]

Oh, fuck you, don't you ewen try to fuckin' entertain the idea a MY sponge bein' small, when you're the moron beliewin' in falsities like the existence a fakey fakey fake bullshit magic.

BUT to answer the fuckin' obwious, science.

[I believe this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!]

Tis thou who is moronic! However advanced thou's science may be, tis nothing against the power of magic!

How doth one explain our arrival from an alternate universe and our change from thy equestrian body? Tis impossible for science to do such a thing!
