pets are like children...no, really!

Have you ever noticed that children like to use each other's things, yet don't always like to share?

Ever notice that dogs and cats have their own variation of this?  Cats are always trying to get the highest spot in the house to hang out in - or the warmest.  Each cat tries to take over the premium spots, and it seems to be ever changing - ( Read more... )

LMAO I get a lot of that with my horde... Tux especially... if something pisses him off he goes and picks on his sister Solstice (the calico) Or he'll chase Sophie my "newest" (like 3 years now) cat. And of course there was some serious tension when I brought Kira home.

Haha - they'll definitely suffer from jealousy issues, and attention seeking behavior, trying to please-syndrome (mostly dogs) and some really seem to behave goofily just for kicks. I have to say, though that anytime we've ever been without pets, it's been empty. I can't imagine not having at least one pet....and once you get one, you need another.....and sometimes another.... LOL. Over the years (and years, and years, and years) that I've been dealing with cats and dogs, I've also noticed that they will pick on each other. We're more like animals than people like to admit. :)

Sometimes, I think that Skippy actually loves Buddha more than he cares about us. He CRIES when Buddha leave....cries.

In bed, he starts out by me, but then ends up at the foot of the bed near Buddha....I get a little jealous. I admit it. I'm jealous of an aging dog. :) Skippy is supposed to me mine...MINE. Not Larry's (spouse) or Buddha's...MINE

LOL. I get a little jealous when Tux or Kira cuddle with Adam instead of me, but they are both pretty equal with their attentions most of the time.

My life was very empty for the few years I didn't have a critter around.
