Tom (furmuslbulk) replied to your LiveJournal post, and said:

just an FYI: I know several people, myself included, who know the true identity of this writer. Of course it doesn't make me enjoy it any less.

The simplest thing I can say is.. Oh, bugger. I'm sorry that it's come to that, but I understand - some people are small enough not to be able/willing/courteous enough to deal with boundries, and are fully capable of fucking it up for all.

I'm happier *not knowing8 and not wanting to know the identity of people on many blogs - and don't want them know who I actually am, as well - how else would I have the ability (as out as I'm not) to "talk" freely.

I hope you find the opportunity/willingness to fire up a blog under a different venue sometime - you've consistently been a source of shameless erotic thought uninhibited by any need to know who you are.

Cheers!

thanks so much for the kind words and understanding. it does my heart good to know my little adventures have caused a lump or two in your trousers!

This makes me really sad. I've enjoyed reading your adventures, and I have to say that I never cared who you really were (it was always more fun to let you invent yourself and for me to imagine the rest). Hopefully, if you start a new LJ in the future, I'll happen upon it. Best of luck!

thanks for the appreciation and kindness. and for understanding the value in my expressing myself in this way.

I'm not sure if an apology is in order or not. It just felt like a "full disclosure" sort of thing was appropriate, given your earlier post about people making waves about the author of this journal.

Few writers on lj, (if any!) are quite as eloquant as you are!

regardless of what you think you know, my request was for privacy, yet you and two others had to drop little hints-i suppose to prove how smart you think you are or how in the know you think you are.

well, all you did was ruin it for yourself/selves and others. i'll continue with my activities, folks just won't get to read about 'em.

Well, once someone told me who the writer of this was, I *never* commented on anything you posted again, until yesterday, when you wrote about peoples' comments and whisperings. I guess I wanted to confirm that people did know your identity. Not that it was any big deal- this happened at least 6 months ago- perhaps closer to a year ago. I do remember it being right before you disclosed you had a partner. Before that, Marcus had always seemed single to me! :-)

Best of luck with your now-more-private activities!

i don't know what you're talking about, truly. but that's ok. if you have a chum who thinks this kind of unethical behavior is alright, more power to the coward.

Marcus dear, I am so sorry it had to come to this. Why can't folks just have SOME consideration for the desires of others for privacy? Obviously, a concept going the way of the dinosaur in our reality-TV driven society with its paramilitantmedia madness.

I'll always think of you as THE guest who brightened every Hostess' dinner party with a generous, warm spirit and appetites that are the very incarnation of elan vital.

thank you.

cheers, Shimmer

as tom points out, there has been chatter and discussion apart from this forum. any communication has been most awkward and off-putting.
