Aww, vad söt, tack så mycket!

Yes, Lund is wonderful. I once had a pen pal from there, but sadly enough we're not writing anymore.
I'd be happy to talk in Swedish to someone, though I'm practically a bloody beginner.

Perhaps I can visit Stockholm next year.

And my Swedish teacher has just answered my mail. Yes! :D Today's mood is somewhat Swedish.

Now I've forgotten... I've always wanted to ask you:
Do you know a few good bands/singers who actually sing in Swedish?
So far I know Per Gessle (even have a live DVD of his Mazarin tour *___* ♥), Kent and Lillasyster.

oh, i'm sure there are many, but now that i think of it, i know dont know that many. o.o i think that the swedish bands that sing in swedish are mostly if not ONLY more or less unknown indiebands. and i know of some, but theyre hard to track down. well and, some radiomusic, like dancebands and folkmusic and stuff.

theres kent. and Kristian Anttila [http://www.kristiananttila.com/] (one of my personal favorites ♥) and Håkan Hellström. These 3 are really the only ones that sing in swedish that i ever listened to.

Wha, you're my Vorbild [current lack of English vocabulary, hooray!]! D: I still have such a long way to go. But at least I have a teacher now. Hope she won't be too expensive...
I can learn the grammar all alone, that's not the problem.
But I tend to lack motivation - and the pronunciation is something I definitely feel more safe when having a teacher around me. xD

I know that we have talked about this in MSN a while ago, but I can remember it clearly... For how long have you been learning Swedish now?

haha yeah i feel yooou. pronounciation is wicked without someone who knows how it's done right.

well i went to sweden for the first time about two years ago, knowing no swedish at all. i tried to learn some with my tiny swedish guide (which had cool stuff like "hej jag heter ___", "ursäkta mig" and "men bara med kondom!" in it) on the ride and all, and my girlfriend and her family tried to teach me some. then i bought several books and a self-learning course (assimil) and tried to do it on my own. lack of motivation&time didn't bring me far. but i listened to swedish music (i LOVE Kent) and just.. tried learning like that. and by now it just... came a bit more. sometimes we talk in swedish here, and i always pick up a lot of new things when i go there.
i'm gonna order the lextra swedish course and a dictionary soon, and pick it up again. i still have so much to learn about grammar and all XD;

Oh yes. The pronunciation is worse than for expample the French one. At least for me [but I had a French teacher for four years and was on a student exchange... Guess that makes it easier for me]. But I won't back down because that's what I love so much about Swedish.

Okay, then maybe there IS hope for me as well. I've been to Sweden the first time four years ago [though I only met one Swedish woman there. Haha, fail.] and I listen to Per Gessle and Gyllene Tider for uhh... I don't know. 6 years?
Oh, Kent is great! I love their music.
I can recommend the grammar book from Hueber. It's not so expensive and I've been satisfied with it so far.
...though I have to point out I really haven't learned a lot.

By the way - 'men bara med kondom' is such a wonderful phrase. xD Tack tack.
