I went to the Ueno Zoo when I was in Tokyo on Valentine's Day. I took some pictures, so here they are! (look at me catching up!!)

( lions and tigers and bears and .... gorillas?! Plus two shots of Ueno )

I wanted to see more in the zoo but only had a short time.

My friend and I had to wait forever for the gorilla to turn and look. He seemed to look everywhere except where we were! Jerk! haha

Ueno zoo was such a lovely place in my opinion :)
Much more greenery and space than in the zoo we have here in Estonia.

I didn't have time to see all of it, but it seems maybe close to the same size as some of the zoos in America. But it's been years and years since I went to a zoo back home.
