Sirius just misses Remus so much. I liked how he tried to resist calling on that mirror but, of course, he would give in and he couldn't sleep alone anymore.

Great way for them to stay connected over the holidays.

I have often thought that the two-way mirror should work itself into a sexy R/S scene (maybe it has and I just haven't read it yet), and even thought of trying this sometime myself, but you have done it very well here--sort of like the magical equivalent of dirty-Skyping with your significant other. The longing they feel for each other is expressed so well, but it's not just a physical longing; the urgency of their words really brings in a depth of emotion that makes it clear how head over heels they are for each other:

"I know it sounds pathetic but I just need you here, Remus. It’s pathetic because it’s barely the first fucking night,” Sirius whispers furiously, angry at himself for not being there with Remus, angry about the way Remus made him ache. At the same time, that ache is a reminder of what he has, of what is his, and he’s more than sure that Remus feels it just the same.And I like how at the end you bring up things that they will both want to tell each other, which is another indication that this all goes beyond mere

Urgh you capture that restless feeling so well, like you know something isn't complete and you can't sleep thinking about it.

I don't often see the mirrors used in fics and I don't understand why as they're brilliant, so lovely having them included here and in such a sweet way.
