I will be honest with you, I never would have read this had it not been part of the fest. I just can't stand the sadness of the lay low era. But this, oh I am so glad that I DID take the time to.

You caught such a lovely sense of history with them, and it hurt. So many times Remus' thoughts rang so true, it was cruel int he most perfect of ways.
I loved their forgiveness, how easy it was when it was such a difficult thing to approach.
Just really, really beautiful.

I love lie-low-at-Lupin and I just really adored Remus' perspective here. He is just so nervous and awkward that it is just perfect. And Sirius just shows up naked which messes with Remus more! I think you captured really well this dynamic where both of them changed and they have to adjust to each other again while still loving each other.

The move is all-too familiar to Remus, it's the same sort of shake Sirius does so often as Padfoot and he smiles as one more piece fits itself back into the ruined jumble of his heart.

What a gorgeous statement and you carried that gorgeousness through the whole story. This was absolutely excellent, and very real. Beautiful work.

The way they both avoid each other while making spontaneous gestures of closeness is deliciously natural. Their sorrow and hope tangible.
