All Hell Breaks Loose

I really suspect that a crack pipe was responsible for the last two episodes of Supernatural. Mind you, I love the show even if it's rather poorly written most of the time, but the complete lack of continuity this time around was a bit much.

For instance, how does the Yellow-Eyed Demon go from wanting his "chosen" kids, like Sam, to lead his Hell- ( Read more... )

Then Daddy Winchester comes out of the Hellmouth Hell door. Well, that's great and everything, but rather pointless in the grand scheme of things. And you've eliminated a major source of Dean's guilt, which is basically what drives him to be the character we all know and love, and put it on Sam, who is ALREADY WAY TOO EMO.

Yeah, okay, I see your point there, but I'm just now starting to LOVE this show for the soundtrack alone (I know I know, the mind reels), and I thought that episode did one very important thing. It pulled me in. I was on the edge of my seat - even when dad showed up, having strolled outta hell cuz the door was open. And that opening sequence just looked like the best fanvid ever. ;)

Yeah, that part was cool, despite being a big ol' retread of Buffy. But then, I love Daddy!Winchester, even if he is a pretty terrible dad.

And that opening sequence just looked like the best fanvid ever. ;)

I'm going to have to go back and watch it again. They used the same song by Kansas from last season's finale, didn't they? I really like it.
