S3 Pre-mades

It has been on my mind since I set up the S2 pre-made archive, that I could make one for S3 pre-mades aswell.
This would include all pre-made playable sims from Base Game, all EP's, and also from Riverview, Barnacle Bay and Hidden Springs.
The real question is, if there's actually a need for this kind of project..So what do you think? S3 players, let ( Read more... )

I think it's a great idea. When TS2 was about this old we probably thought that we wouldn't need a pre-mades database for it, either. And then it turned out that people thought that it was a really useful thing.

I know that extracting sims is a LOT easier with TS3 but sometimes people just want a particular sim from a particular world/hood and don't want to have to start a new game just to grab them. Or they might want a sim from one of the pay EA worlds (eg. the EA-made Caliente sisters from Barnacle Bay). So having a place where they can all be downloaded is convenient.

I already extracted and aged up Bella and Mortimer for Maxis_Taste. If you look in the original black, red and white challenge theread you can grab them there. I guess I'm volunteering to help. I have all the worlds and all EPs + SPs (EA Store worlds included) so just let me know which ones I should do and I'll start grabbing sims and doing preview pictures.

I though the same thing, it would be nice to have all the pre-mades gathered in the same place so people could access them easily without adding new worlds or installing EP's, if they just need few sims.

You are so sweet Kasia, thanks for offering to help :) I was thinking the pics would be just simple CAS pics, maybe a full body picture and close-up. Pics would be included in the zip/rar's, the Archive will have the family names and links to downloads, no pictures. Pick what world you'd like to take :) I'll start from Sunset Valley today.

Oh, and sims would be extracted as they are originally (age and looks).

I'll do the downloadable worlds. It's 10:30pm now so I'll start in the morning with Twinbrook.

I can't remember - do any of the families have a baby? Babies will need to be aged up to toddler. But no problem on leaving the rest of them the same age as in the game. People can age them up or down as they wish.

I know that Claire (?) Ursine in Sunset Valley is pregnant so you won't be able to extract her until she gives birth. I have no idea if her kid is always the same but people always seem to be posting about a daughter so the kid might be totally pre-programmed in terms of looks as well? I guess it's up to you as to whether you extract the kid or not. Can you remember if anyone else is pregnant? I don't think there are any pre-existing pregnancies in the downloadable worlds.

.sim and .Sims3Pack or just one of those?

So you'd take Riverview, Barnacle Bay, Hidden Springs and Twinbrook? You don't need to take all of them, maybe just the store worlds? :)
Darn, you're right! Hmm...I guess pregnant sims have to be extracted after they give birth. There's Claire Ursine (who's always had a daughter in my game too, like three times) and Justine Keaton at Sunset Valley, and I think someone at Barnacle Bay was pregnant also. Maybe also at Twinbrook, I'm not sure.
I don't remember if any of the families have a baby already, I think they're all toddlers already. But it there happens to be a baby, it'll be aged to toddler first.
Let's use the .sim files, it's easier for everyone.
Thanks for your help with this! :) Let's PM if there's some issues etc.
