Urahara probably would have come through the window or something any other day, but today he just opted to knock at the front door. He wasn’t up for his usual shenanigans, not after catching that cold on top of a stomach ache and expired medicine. Tessai really was trying to kill him--that’s why Urahara made it a point never to get sick. Still, even the mighty must fall sometimes.
After a shower and a change of clothes Urahara grabbed some personal items, a good book, Maraich’s gift--on short notice he couldn’t think of anything better than a gourmet cheesecake sampler, a nice and big one as he knew there were children who could sink their gums and teeth into it. Plus he ran a candy shop, sweet things were his specialty.
“A…sorry sorry…” Urahra managed in a somewhat nasal voice, he was a bit stuffed up. He removed his geta and closed the door behind him with the heel of his foot. The shop owner was careful to pat the children on their heads in passing as he made his way to the kitchen behind Maraich.
“Thanks for the invite and sorry for the imposition,” he set the cheesecake on the table his bag still draped over his shoulder, “this, I brought for you…it was kind of spur of the moment.”
"Oh, that looks tasty. I'll have to save it for later," he poured some hot soup into a bowl and set it on the table, "Don't worry too much about it. With the kids... I'm pretty used to some disgusting things by now."
He put the cheesecake in the fridge and took a seat at the table. His kitchen was small - normal for an apartment in London - with a table that could barely squeeze 4 people in. Figaro stayed asleep but Matthias hesitantly followed them, curious about the extra person in the apartment.

"Hi! Come on in," he opened it up and headed back towards the kitchen, "Your soup has been waiting for awhile now!"
