I know, my dear flist, that you share my love of all that is bizarre and outside the conventions and humdrum routine of everyday life:

The Complete Granada Series of Sherlock Holmes is currently £29.98 on Amazon.co.uk. List price is £119.99. So, you know, you might want to consider getting on that, if you're so inclined.

Hee-hee. I love that that translates from Holmes-speak as 'YAY WATSON! YOU'RE HERE!' <3

Oooh, oooh, I hope you make some! Because I need some, too.

Here is a picture of a young Jeremy Brett for your troubles. TIA.

Hair! He has hair you can see!

I'll be honest, when I first watched this show I thought Brett looked like a vampire with his paleness and his slicked back hair and it freaked me out.

I can see that. Maybe that's why I have a particular love for the occasional scene, especially early on, where he doesn't have his hair slicked back, and it is sometimes even almost ruffled. (I'm not at home, or else I would have screencaps to back this up.) He is still ridiculously pale, though, and the dressing primarily in black probably doesn't help, either.

I am pretty shocked that for once Amazon UK is cheaper on something, although I know that doesn't help. :( Man, DVD Region encoding is the stupidest thing ever.

Holy cow. That's almost worth buying from Amazon UK (gods bless region-hacked DVD players!).

I once ordered from Amazon UK while living in Japan, and I seem to remember their international shipping rates being pretty reasonable.

Ah, here you go: North America Delivery Rates. *enables*

Yeah, I ordered both series of LoM and A2A from them a year ago--LITERALLY the day before the R1 sets were announced--and they were a steal, even with the shipping.

Cripes. Is there about to be a Blu-Ray or something?

Hmmm, I wonder if that could be it. Would make sense. I don't have a Blu-Ray player, though, so I don't care as long as I get the DVD set for cheaper. :)
