KING'S DEMONS AND PLANET OF FIRE?!? WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? HOLY SHIT, DOCTOR/MASTER SWORDFIGHTS IN DVD RES? *collapses into a gibbering, drooling puddle*

And knowing the influence Peri's bikini has had on a whole generations, I expect the fanboys will be pleased as well. *g* omgomgomgwetturlough

That serial has so much pretty that I keep forgetting about how clunky/silly the whole story is. The amount of eyeliner on Davison alone would be enough to keep a goth band going through a world tour:). Also, PENIS ROCK AND PETER WYNGARDE.

AND THE PART WHERE THEY GET UP ALL IN EACH OTHER'S SPACE AND FIVEY'S BASICALLY PANTING.

THAT PLUS TURLOUGH!BONDAGE AND SHORTSHORTS MAKE ME VERY, VERY HAPPY.

I want to say something clever coherent about recolored Mind of Evil, but all I can think is EEEEEEEEEE!!!

YAY FOR MIND OF EVIL IN COLOUR!

Now for seeing the same thing happening with The John Benton Show Dæmons, and I'll be able to die a happy woman. :D

Well, seeing Turlough's short shorts in high-quality is a plus as well, but stuff with Benton and Delgado!Master is always a priority for me.

You'd think with The Daemons generally being considered an all-around classic, it'd get higher priority for release, especially as it's already been colorized (maybe they want to re-do it?) Mind of Evil, though, is quite possibly my all-time fave, so I don't mind getting it first. :D

With the advance in colourization programs, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they wanted to rework The Dæmons, but this might be another situation in which the story is still in their queue. Ah well, I can't complain since I haven't seen anything from Mind of Evil yet apart from Benton's collapse (I've read the whole thing, though) and so I'm really looking forward to it.

aksisnfoihdanfi IT'S RECOLORED? Oh my goodness I thought even if it ever did get a DVD release it'd be in black and white I am so not prepared for the awesomeness of it in COLOR. Although I have to admit I kind of like it in black and white; it gives it a noirish, moody feel that aligns well with the story. But still. COLOR.

ALSO FRONTIER IN SPACE. Ridic Fifth-Element-reject costumes in GLORIOUS DVD RES I cannot handle it. Heck I am even excited for Planet of the Daleks even though I know it's rubbish because I love Jo's clothes in it and it makes my wee shippy heart go like THIS :D :D :D.

I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN THE KING'S DEMONS. CLEARLY THIS IS A SIGN THAT I MUST RECTIFY THIS IMMEDIATELY.

I'm just going to have to not eat, I think.

*joins you in your fasting*

I thought we wouldn't get Mind of Evil forever and ever because it would have to be recolored. I hadn't realized that they had, in fact, already been doing exactly that. But you're right, the black and white works so well with that story that it's hard to imagine it in color. It's going to be WEIRD.

OH, OH, AND ALSO THERE WILL BE THIS BIT IN DVD RESOLUTION. OH MY GOD.

You should see King's Demons! It's only two episodes and it's craaaaaaaack. The Master fucks with the Magna Carta for no apparent reason except to annoy the Doctor, Turlough gets himself manacled to a wall, the Master and the Doctor get all up in each other's personal space, the Master says stuff about the Doctor being his "greatest stimulation" (while waving the TCE around), and there's a SWORDFIGHT. It's much fun. :D

On the one hand, I'm curious to see what the scenes of the Doctor getting attacked by the Machine are going to look like in color, what with all the overlaying and superimposition they do. On the other hand...well, that bit. Yes. :D Sometimes I feel bad that all I can think of when I get to that scene is perverted things, but then I remember that the rest of fandom does the exact same thing.

Speaking of perversion I just looked at the list of extras on the Dalek War boxset and apparently there's a featurette called "Stripped for Action". Fner fner.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE MY KIND OF EPISODE OMG. Everything is better with a swordfight and if there's one thing what's been missing from the Five/Ainley eps I've seen so far it's been enough personal space invasion.

I'm sorry to disappoint you (though I have the feeling you'll already be expecting something like that) but there's a "Stripped for Action" featurette in the War Games DVD as well, and it's about the Second Doctor's comic strips. It's filled with gold crack, though (Mondasian Cybermen! On skiis!), and I have this urge of screencap it like crazy. Hopefully the one in the Dalek War set will be just as cracktastic.
