My television has, of course, decided to completely fucking die 23 hours before the last episode of Sherlock, and apparently it also knows that there are no charity shops open on a Sunday in this town.

I SEE WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO DO, UNIVERSE, BUT I AM NOT BUYING A FLATSCREEN AND YOU CAN'T MAKE ME. *shakes fist*

random, this is crap

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Now you'll have to wait a little while longer like the rest of us lowly Not-In-Britain people.

Mwahahah, I can live-stream it through the BBC site, as it turns out. \o/ I know, I'll shut up now.

I don't know, what did I do? Is this because I originally thought Cumberbatch was too odd-looking to be attractive? Is it because I called him Cucumberbits? I have repented for the former and I didn't make up the latter!

But he *does* look weird! And making fun of his name is a joy forever! I called him Thundersnatch and still got my eps on time. *knocks on wood*

The universe usually laughs at me when I say things like that. *sighs* Yes, the universe owns me.

Reminds me of the day my ancient TV died just a few hours before an episode of Buffy was due to start. I did run right out and buy a new (cheap) one. Couldn't stand being without it.

Oh god, if this had happened back during my X-Files days, before TV was, er, readily available through the internet, this would have been SUCH a freakout. (As it is, I'm still going to try to find a cheap one, if I can, but it's an annoyance rather than a MAJOR WORLD-ENDING DISASTER.)

There's got to be some site somewhere that streams it as it airs.

The BBC site itself, as it turns out, so as long as my computer decides it's up to the task, all appears to be under control. *knocks wood* Also, here's to hoping the episode has less fail than last week's. :\
