So I was wondering this morning why the car park around the corner from my flat, which I cut through on the way to/from work, was all of a sudden partially roped off and filled with trailers and big equipment trucks.

Heh, there's a joke here, surely, about NYC being a city made up entirely of extras from Law & Order, but I can't quite get there. :)

I used to cut through this giant temple complex, Myōshin-ji, on my way to work in Kyoto, when one morning I came around a corner on my bike and nearly collided with a bunch of actors in full samurai get-up.
