This poll is brought on by a book I got out of the library for Yael. She was quite peeved that Daddy couldn't sing the song. Mommy was surprised that Daddy had never heard it before. Thus...a poll.

Note: I would not actually sing it really loudly. I would look at you funny and maybe offer it with a question mark tacked on the end. But since you're polling for knowledge of the song, not level of confusion when people start singing randomly... ;)

There are a bunch more lyrics to it. I learned in in Sunday School, and I remember one part that had Satan trying to put it out but "I" wouldn't let him... or something.

I think I sang this song at Girl Guides, but it was "this little guiding light of mine, I'm going to let it shine", so it might be a different tune?

I had thought it was an American song, but it's entirely possible I'm wrong :D You can listen to a tune close to the one I know here, if you're curious.
