1. Yes. I know this because melina123 provides a list of what's been cut from each episode when the American version airs.

See, and here's where I start to get annoyed. I *want* to do the right thing. I *want* to watch the show legally and be a good citizen and whatnot. But if they're going to cut stuff out, I'm going to have to keep ::ahem::ing them. Argl.

My solution to that is to support the show by buying the season box set. IIRC, it's already the highest rated program on BBCAmerica, so I'm not worried about it being canceled.

It's the British corollary to the anime dilemma of whether or not to download fansubs once the show is licensed. ;-)
