They came. They saw. We geeked. And it was good :)

'Twas nice to see folks and meet folks and get to talk geeky comic stuff. It was especially awesome to get to meet three new people. Yay!

For those of you who weren't able to join us this afternoon, here's a quick summary. (Please note, all quotes are paraphrases. Feel free to correct me!):

It was indeed a grand occasion! Thank you for having me as a guest. There was orzo! And swords! And a bat-cookie!

Also, I think ape-level crack may become my standard unit of measurement in the modern comic era.

(If anybody's interested, my scans_daily REX THE WONDER DOG posts are as follows:

Rex can do anything! (Introduction and overview.)

Rex vs. the dinosaur!

Rex goes prospecting. For uranium.

"All-Star Batman and Robin is kind of a parody of deconstructionism. It's not really about anything."

*nods sagely* It's a commentary on the streams of discourse all around us, the fact that superheroes are Baudrillaudian simulations of real people, and most likely a parody of phallologorrhea to boot.

*wheezes*

I also wish to speak fluent Yael.

This sounded wonderful! How I envy you all!

I wish you could have been here, because that would have been a *brilliant* addition to our conversation :D

And speaking fluent Yael takes years (over 2 1/2 to be precise) of practice. And a lot of Fruity Cheerios. ::cough::

Are you telling me that if someone said "Rex, the Wonder Dog! He was a photojournalist!" you'd forget it? ;)

Also, these were *serious* paraphrases, not really direct quotes. Well, "You got the special bat cookie" was a direct quote.

Yes, 'twas very nice to be in my geeky element.
