Very nice! This fills the emotional gap well - Ianto being haunted and sort of defeated, before Jack gets to him, and Jack being sort of confused and manic. They make sense, and they make sense together. I like it! :D
Whew! ::wipes brow:: This was...difficult to write. "Hate Can Pardon" wrote itself, almost literally, but this story fought me every step of the way. And when I was done, I *still* wasn't sure that it worked.
oooh, I enjoyed this, esp. the "oh, you want to talk" bit - Ianto would try to figure it out, and Jack would say "oh, can't we just be making with the hawt sex now?"
Thank you! Some of these bits I wasn't even sure why I was writing them, but the characters *insisted*. Like I didn't intend to have Ianto want to talk, but he just sat his butt down and that was it. Hmmph. Pushy characters ;)
This . . . filled in a hole I was only peripherally aware existed. And also made me grin like a loon. Ianto and Jack are ridiculously adorable for all their respective angst-filled existences. The descriptions of Nine and Rose are just so spot on.
(And also I got to take a nice break from writing this paper that's due in about twelve hours. \o/)
