We've got power, but Jeff and Rachel don't, so I think they're going to come here for at least tonight, if not tomorrow night too. We can't leave them to freeze! Yael is thrilled that Ariella is going to come have a sleepover

Forgive me; the description "The World's Biggest Slurpee" made me giggle. That snow is no laughing matter. I merely dislike snow that's deep enough to have to shovel the sidewalk. I hate the heavy wet snow.

I have survival guilt because other regions have had worse weather than Michigan's so far. I think I averted heavy snowfall by paying in advance to have my sidewalk and 100-foot-long driveway cleared whenever the snow accumulates above 2 inches.

My husband's happy because he finally got to use the snowblower he bought last year. He's been going around and clearing off snow for the neighbors. He is officially the Iceman again. :)
