They killed the Emperor! I loved Mara's reaction to Palpatine's command, 'I won't do it!'

And I assume the dream was about the consequences of Luke touching Mara.

I so loved writing that scene. Such fun. :D

I'd say it was more symbolic - the whole corrupting influence of the dark side thing. Mara is realizing how much darkness is in her life, and she knows Luke has been raised in that darkness. The dreams seem to be showing her his darker side.

Wow. This chapter was full of some mighty powerful imagery, both in Mara's dream and in her connection to the Emperor.

I love the way you've doled out these little hints at Mara's ultimate purpose, building exquisitely to this reveal (Vader and Leia, the Emperor's death), with the promise of more (the ultimate outcome).

Masterfully done, and I'm actually now really glad I am so late in getting to this, because that means I don't have to wait the final two parts! :)
