Luke's recognition of the howl and the hunter's recognition of Luke were quite intriguing.
And I loved the breathless moment between him and Mara just before the howl.

Hehe… that’s actually a good thing and a compliment, though. XD Your style is very effective, and I also love the slowly drawn out attraction that Luke has for Mara. This is potent and full of delicious tension.

I'm happy to hear that the tension between Luke and Mara is clear. I can totally feel it when I'm writing, but I like to know that the reader feels it, too.
