Please forgo the custom font formatting. It's distracting and extremely hard to read...

It's okay - just look at the other posts. The format gabri_jade and viariskywalker use works best - just a simple list of author, rating, category, etc. Nothing fancy, and it makes it easier for the newsletter folks (jedi_news) to label.

I thought you did a great job showing Luke's more vulnerable side. Plus Mara was just wonderful trying to get him to let go of his demons. A beautiful disaster indeed. I also really liked the conversation and the way it flowed.

Lovely!

Great story!
Your descriptions are fabulous and it was an interesting glimpse into the inner world of Luke Skywalker - there never can be enough of that.
I loved that you included his childhood dreams in the picture of his feelings. And the prospect of having children of his own must be adding to his inner turmoil indeed:
> he'd have to be the guardian and guide of very powerful, Force wielding heirs to a great and tragic legacy.
> You and I, and Han and Leia, can give those kids the very best upbringing in the universe, and still not know if that will be enough.
Oh indeed!
> Mara had been surprised that Luke had even suggested she come along at all...she fully expected him to go alone.
He trusts her more than anyone else.
I loved her story about Palpatine's mistake and her conclusion from it. I agree with Luke - Mara is perfect for him. :)

A very beautiful story showcasing Luke's vulnerability and how he still longed for his father. And very unsettling that he worries about the children and now knowing what happened with Jacen.

But to me one of the saddest parts of the Star Wars story is that Luke FINALLY saves his father only to immediately lose him and is hurting over it while everybody else is celebrating their victory over the Empire. You captured that and even managed to work Mara into this story. Loved it.:)

Thanks for reviewing! I agree about the irony of Luke saving his Father and losing him. That was one catalyst for this story. I am very happy you liked it! Thank you again!!

Nice introspection on the part of both characters, and plausible scenario. Thanks for sharing it. :)
