This was so well written, thank you for posting. There are so many fics where I can't get lost in the story, because its so obviously a fanfic. This was not one of those. This was genuine. Thank you. =)
I know what you mean. The last thing you want to come across in fanfic is something doesn't ring true, because it always pulls you out of the narrative. It's very annoying. :p

I agree with the above, I LOVE L/M, but part of the allure of it is their own ignorance/avoidance of what really is going on between them, and even that isn't quite what I mean. . .
