I remember reading this ages ago on TFN. And while I'm not a huge fan of first-person, it really seems to work here. Thanks for posting it!

As for official business, I'm going to go back and tag all these fics before there get to be too many. ;)

I remember posting this on TFN. It freaked all the L/Mers out. I had to write a romantic vignette afterward to make them happy again, but it was fun while it lasted. :p Glad you enjoyed it. :D

When you tag, Dunc, you tag. ;) *takes notes*

Well, that's TFN for you. ::eyeroll::

Yeah, the tagging was an important part of the whole comm concept from the first. It was a just... a while... before anyone posted actual fic. And then I forgot. :D

That remembering'll get you every time. ;) Detailed tagging like that hadn't even crossed my mind. I'll look over the tags you used and get the system in my head so you don't have to tag every fic that comes through. :)

You know, I can relate with Mara. It's strange how things aren't meant to be, however, all in all, we receive good things from this life. I'm glad she realized it in time. :)

Originally I wasn't going to write a sequel to Paths Not Taken, but a friend threatened me with a dire fate if I didn't give Mara a happy ending of sorts. :p But yes, I completely agree. Happiness can come from unexpected directions, and if we're too focused on missed opportunities, however painful, we might miss the good life still has to offer. Mara can be a slow learner in that area, but I think she's stubborn enough to stick it out and discover the good. :) Thanks so much for reading and leaving feedback! :)
