Dear music industry,

The world did not need a techno remix of "Listen To Your Heart" complete with the original Roxette vocals, but you have given us one anyway. Why?

Yours truly,

It had been well over a year since I'd listened to mainstream radio, and now I understand the meaning of the term "heavy rotation" -- there were several songs which I heard played at least once an hour in the teahouse where I set up shop this afternoon. That wasn't one of them, at least.

The music sucked, but there were smart high school kids playing chess, which is always a plus.

Perhaps the music industry -needs- to produce bad music. After all, since it won't sell, they can complain about illegal downloads destroying their profits, and then they can claim extra compensation in the form of extra charges paid for blank CDs, hard disks, etc... no matter what you actually use them for.

I suspect that this will become their main source of income in the future. One vast industry that does nothing but receive compensation for lost income on the products they don't sell. ;)
