Gangs of New York

I recently got an interest request for a price quote to make a coat like the one worn by "The Butcher" at the beginning of Gangs of New York.  I've never seen the movie, so I started looking for some research pics.  I came across this pic of Cameron Diaz on IMDB and I just fell in love with the costume.

Yeah! I was going to rent it just to see the coat at the beginning, but now I think I'll watch the whole thing too :)

It looks appliqued..or ironed on.

Maggie it does indeed! You rock. I've been running through all the online fabric stores I could find to try to match the plaid. It almost looks like a death watch tartan but alot lighter. Still looking. Thanks for the pics!
