Summary: This fic is based on a movie. Well…, it’s not 100 percent similar with the movie. As I remembered, it’s a Chinese movie. I watched it when I was in elementary school I think, so I don’t even remember what’s the tittle or the casts. It’s about a rising star that lost his light and being left by everyone then somehow found someone who loves him when he’s not a star.
Chapter 1
TakakiYuya is a rising shining star. His face could be found everywhere; in the TV, in the trains and subways, in the posters, in the t-shirts, and even in the phone straps. He’s happy being like that: being the center of public’s attention, being famous, being an idol. But his idol life suddenly changed when he got injured in his full of risk film making. He lost his glamour life, he lost his dream, he lost his sight.
“Click, click, click…,” the clicking sound of the seconds hand was what he could hear all this time. It has been 5 days since the accident and he has been hospitalized. Well, that was what he could count himself because he couldn't even tell when the evening and the afternoon was. The visitors were just the wise doctor and the fussy nurses, who could not only give him the medicines, measure his health progress, but talked about his life behind him. And he could hear that. Since the darkness grasped him, since the fear forcefully bonded him, since he lost his sight, his ears became aware of every little sound around.
“Ne, ne…, have you heard that he will be kicked out from his new movie?” the tall one starts gossiping.
“Eh? Natsu no Kaze?” the one with glasses paid attention.
“I heard that he couldn't go back to the showbiz because of his condition now,” she put the patient history notes on the desk.
“But he can get his sight back if there’s a donor,” another just get in to the conversation.
“You know that cornea donor is not like you can get it easily in the market even though you have the money, right?”
“What a pity…,” she raised her glasses with her middle finger as she felt like it almost fell down before.
Another little fusses in the morning. The nurses kept gossiping him in the nurses’ room. And their talks were just heard by the man in the topic, because his room was just the second room from the nurses’ room.
Shaaa… The spring breeze played the long white curtain. He can feel the soft wind brushed his neck-long hair. He kept in silence. More like he doesn’t know what to do. He was just waiting for the right donor. That was what the doctor said he has to do. Waiting, with no time limit.Waiting in the new frightening darkness. Waiting, without anybody caring about him.

“How could he didn’t feel stressed? He was so famous before, and then now…, everybody seems avoiding him,” second session of the gossiping time today.
“You’re right. It’s only his manager who visits him. Even his boyfriend hasn’t approach here…,” the glasses one from before was also there.
“I heard that Inoo was cheating with Takaki’s best friend, and it looks like this accident is his opportunity to breaking up with him,” another nurse just added.
“Eh?! Hountou? Poor him...”
“Who are you talking about…?” someone whispered from their backs.
“Gya…!!!” and it shocked them right. Then spontaneously, they covered their loud mouths. It’s a hospital actually. So, quiet is a must.
“Daiki-kun! You shocked me!” the nurse was almost hit him with the notes board.
“You all just made this serious faces before, so I want to know what makes you like that?” the Daiki she refers before, imitated their expression.
“You don’t know about this?” the glasses nurse asked him like it’s impossible for him not to know this gossip.
“Azusa-san…, what do you think I asked you for? It’s because I really don’t know what happened.”
“Well…, it’s actually…, bla…, bla…, bla….”
The gossip surely is long and took more than half hour to be re-announced to Daiki. That young boy seemed uninterested though, but it was his risk for asking the glasses nurse, Azusa. He yawned countless times, unfortunately the nurse didn’t realize that the boy didn’t pay attention to her gossip anymore.
“Nii-chan! What are you doing here?” a younger yet taller boy asked him.
“Ryu! I was looking for you! Yokatta you’re here…,” he made a relieved face. “Were you… really looking for me?” the younger boy doubted it, because he was in his room all this time but no bodies looked after him.
“Yosh! I’ve found Ryu,” Daiki tapped the boy’s left shoulder.“Finally! Jya ne, Azusa-san!” his act was rather weird though. Then both of them left the nurse who was still blabbering about the famous rising star, TakakiYuya.
“What were you just doing there?” Ryutarou, the tall boy asked him in their way to his room.
“I don’t really understand though…, it’s about the rising, multitalented actor who was hospitalized here, being dumped by his boyfriend, also being kicked away from the showbiz industry, and so on.”
“Who was it?”
“Takaki Yuya…, I guess?”
“So, it’s all true then….”Ryu get on his bed.
“What do you mean? You know him?”
“He’s the most famous star this year. His career began with singing. His song was in the first chart continuously for seven weeks after he debuted. Well, his new single is in the first chart for 2 months after the airing. Beside that he also is a multitalented actor. His dramas always got good rating. What a perfect life he had....” Ryu stopped his talks.
“Hountou da…. You sure have TOO much free time here so you can watch all the entertainment news everyday, huh?” a sarcastic line came from Daiki, although deep inside he was amazed by the ‘knowledge’ his brother has.
“I didn’t.” Daiki put this ‘I don’t believe you’-face to Ryu, as he was ready to peel the apples he bought. “He said it all to me.” Now Daiki even more doesn’t believe him. “I’ve talked to him many times already!” Daiki didn’t give any response. And that totally pissed the younger most. “Let’s ask him then!” Ryu dragged Daiki along to the actor’s room. Daiki left the apples he already peeled half of it on the bed. It’s actually not necessary though, was what in Daiki’s mind.
“Ah, Ryu? Why are you so in a hurry?” they’re now in the actor’s room.
“Ah, you’re not alone this time?” Isn’t he blind? Daiki thought.
“You don’t need to be worry. He’s not equipped with any info about entertainment world.” Well it’s true that Daiki doesn’t know a thing about that shining world. But to be so bluntly said like that, was enough to make Daiki stomped Ryu’s foot.
“Ittai! He’s my Oniichan,” Ryu introduced him. He rubs his right foot which was stomped by his brother.
“Arioka Daiki desu, yoroshiku!”
“TakakiYuya desu. Sorry that I couldn’t see you because of my condition.”
“Don’t make an excuse for something out of your will…,” Daiki uttered.
“Hahah…, you’re right.” He laughed. “Take a seat! Sorry for the inconvenience.”
“Don’t act too formally to us,” Ryu said. “Ah! There’re so many fruits here!” he commented the basket with full of various fruits on the table near the sofa.
“That’s right. My manager has just sent it a while ago. You two can have some!”
“Thwack!”
“Ittai!” Daiki whacked Ryu cause of his impolite attitude. Ryu didn’t accept it and he questioned his brother.
“WHAT?!” with a low voice but madly face, Ryu asked for explanation for the thing his brother did.
“Be more considerate!” same with Ryu, Daiki used the lower voice so Takaki couldn’t hear them.
“We’re friends! Right Takaki?” Now Ryu circled Takaki’s shoulder with his right arm.
“We are! Hahaha…!” he laughed again. But something annoyed Daiki since they’re there. It was…, Takaki’s laughs.
“Beep, beep! Beep, beep!”
“Let’s go Ryu! Nakajima Sensei will come soon.”
“Eeeh? Already?”
“Yes! Let’s go back to your room!”
“Jya ne Takaki! I’ll come back later when Nii-chan is not around!”
Pinched!
“Ittai!” now a pinch on Ryu’s cheek.
“See you later, Takaki-san!” then they went back to Ryu’s room, with Takaki’s hand waved to them and stopped when he couldn’t hear their steps anymore. Takaki stayed still, back to his quiet pitch black world with no one around.
“Why are you so cruel to me today?”Ryu complained in their way to go back to his room.
“Because you’re so not considerate to others,” Daiki walked beside his younger brother.
“But we’re already friends! He wasn’t annoyed or something.”
“Whatever! I just think I don’t like him.”
Ryu stopped his step after hearing that.
“His laughs. I don’t like it. It’s like he acts being tough even though deep inside he suffers because of something,” Daiki explained the reason as he still walking in front of his brother.
“Then you have no rights to dislike him,” Daiki then stopped his steps after hearing Ryu’s words. “Rather than dislike him, we have to help him, right?!” his voice was almost like a scream out. Finished with his so much considerate lines, Ryu accepted a soft stroke on his hair and a gentle smile from his brother.
“I’m sorry I said bad things earlier. Let’s help him. We’ll help him as long as we can.” Daiki patted his beloved younger brother. He was being realized that the brother he has is someone who has pure kind heart inside. But, will Daiki accept someone like Takaki? Someone from a different world, that he knows nothing about?
