I can't remember why I was checking on my LJ, it's not like I'm writing fic these days, but I couldn't log in. I had to jump through hoops to update my LJ password. Apparently, it expired. That's news. I didn't realize they expired. And my email was shutdown by GoDaddy in favor of their new email - which they didn't tell me about - so I couldn't

I know it's probably been 10-15 years since I've been in the BtVS fandom but you remain one of my absolute favorite fanfiction writers of all time. I still go back and read your stories. In fact, I need to check--do you still have your website? I've been trying to update/save fics from years ago so they don't disappear off the face of the earth. I miss LJ so much!! It's not exactly the same, but I've found Tumblr is at least much better than Twitter (which I can't stand). At any rate, it's cool to see you checking in! :D

Hi! Thx for the praise! I'm at maquisleader.net these days. My website moved, kinda, some jerk bought my old one out from under me a few years ago and wants $3k to buy it back. I’ve got some fic posted on Ao3, but it's pretty time consuming to copy, paste, fix the formatting and all that to post my stuff there. And I can't do Angelus' font there.

I should get off my lazy butt, right? lol

I am so, so glad your works are still up! And gosh yes Angelus' font *is* so important! Definitely formatting is more complicated on an archive like AO3 than an individual website.

I've jumped back into active fandom recently after basically just reading fanfiction by itself for years and discovered that there is lots of "discourse" on Fandom Olds--like people who are over 25, or 30, or 35, or whatever the arbitrary "you are too old for fandom" age has been decided. I'm turning 41 in a few days, and I'm thinking of the incredible and amazing authors and communities creators I knew 20+ years ago, who WERE older and who I looked up to so much! And you were and ARE definitely on of them. And how these "kids" are missing out so much. So it's awesome to reconnect with you!

Any particular fandoms that you are especially involved with/interested in at the moment?

Part of the problem with fandom these days is people who think anyone over 30 doesn't know anything. Please, we were watching these shows before they were born! I'm 59 and I've only gotten better with age. I've still got a couple of my old fics from high school and they're so bad! lol

The last few things I've written were MCU fic, mostly Tony/Pepper and Clint/Coulson. I have a 12 days of Christmas fic I should finish. I got all the way to day 9, I think. Then I was like omg, what the heck do I do for the pipers and the drummers? lol

There were so many fantabulous writers, really good people just looking to share wonderful stories of their fanships & there were solid friendships. I still have Buffy ideas, I've got a whole notebook full. Maybe I should binge watch the first couple seasons and then write something? It's hard to work up the energy, I feel like I'm out on an ice floe somewhere. lol

I wanted to just say I LOVED your JC fanfiction. I read them all years and years ago when I was reading all the JC fanfic I could find and loved your work. It seemed like the JC community was really cool years ago! I am sad I missed it. Just wanted to pop in and say I loved your stories and read them from time to time :)
