I don't drive, but I have an ID card. I moved a while back and hadn't updated my address yet, but with needing to get a passport for the Vancouver Stargate convention, I wanted to get my updated address sticker so I could go down and apply for my passport ( Read more... )

LOL morons. I had fun in 08 with the California DMV. I was turning in my Mom's handicapped rear window thingee (not sure what it's called) and told them that my Mom passed away and they wanted to know why my Mom didn't come to turn in the hanger. Doy!

Yeah, things like that are pretty annoying. Since I started working in a customer service, I learnt that some things just take time and that not everything goes like planned since there are always humans involved and humans make mistakes. But this doesn't excuse sheer and utter stupidity, which I came across in my life as well many times when dealing with public authorities. The case you described would make me angry as well. Don't people read anymore or use their brain at least a tiny bit?? *sigh* Understandable that you're upset, because now you have to waste your private time in order to set things straight again.
While this may be very unconvenient for you though, it showed me at least that some things seem to be the same everywhere on this planet, and that comforts me a bit. I already thought that the place I'm living in is in fact called 'Asininity Central'.
