Oh, of course! The french fries and Mt. St. Helens were taken with an older 3.2MP Konica Minolta DiMage Z10. (K/M got out of the camera business right after I got it, which is sad because it's a great camera and I absolutely would've bought an updated version if it was available).
The nicer photos are taken with my newer Kodak 7.1MP Z712. It's fairly inexpensive but it has great color and a decent zoom (12x).
Half of my picture taking is luck (taking a lot of photos to get just the right one) and the other half is knowing what to emphasize in Photoshop. I generally run everything through a color filter or sharpen it before I post it. I just like them better that way. :)
