why not prepare for when they do and max polearm?

I plan to max both, but I wouldn't want to be half way through maxing spear just to realize they've released the green dragons word/the maple items again, and have those items be virtualy useless for me untill I can get their mastery up. So I need to know if I should max spear or polearm mastery first, but either way BOTH will be maxed at the end of it.

I'd do Spear to 5, 6 Booster, Spear to 20 then Pole Arm to 20, 6 Booster.

You don't need Hyper Body yet, FA is pointless...might as well do your Mastery. And if you do it that way, at 43 whichever Maple Item you do will have Mastery done (or almost done).

I never planned on getting FA, and I did plan to max both mastery's first, lol.
