I'm a nub when it comes to Bandit so uhm...

Can anyone tell me how the skill Steal works? And how effective it is?

They stopped dropping 2x etc items? o_0 I feel bad for the low level bandits who put points into steal for making their ludi pqs 'faster'

Why would they change that? Gods, thats terrible. Thats what made Steal fun. D:

When you use steal it has a % chance of stealing an item [or mesos ..?]from a monster depending on what level the skill is.

The only thing I can really say on this is personal...everything mentioned above seems to be accurate except for some of the more esoteric theories about it which are purely speculative...but I haven't used Steal since they've nerfed it. And that's been a few months now, hasn't it? But I haven't had any Bandits until recently. I would have taken Steal right after SB, but now I'm not so sure. I'm not particularly attached to this Bandit, so I don't mind messing with it, but I did make an effort to create a char that I could use for the long haul without re-doing it ever again.

I like Steal, but I'm actually considering skipping it this time. On JMS, now that we have Topwear LUK and Bottomwear DEX, it makes sense to actually make a normal build with the proper equips at each level, and not go nuts scrolling stuff for Speed and Jump...which would lead me back to Haste. I'm just musing aloud here...

I just have to see if I'm going to want to use my extra points on 1st job skills or not.

And after that you get to compare Endure to Chakra...which, if either or both do I want?

As I've said before, I like Chakra. Damned interesting skill. The funny thing is that between Steal, Endure and Chakra you could actually make money by SAVING it.

Man, I'm starting to 2nd guess myself.
