Moving Forward Mitsui is not the type to actively seek out companionship.
He is not a lone wolf by any means but he is complacent and satisfied by being alone. He surprises himself when he reaches for his mobile phone and searches for a number and calls it. He waits in the park for the person he's called out.
He breathes in and out, in and out, his eyes closed in concentration until he hears approaching footsteps which make his heart feel lighter.
"This feels like it's happened before," the newcomer states.
Mitsui smiles, "it would seem that way Miyagi."
The other person stands beside him. "So, what now?"
Mitsui shrugs, looking thoughtful before giving a peevish smile, "I... don't know. I haven't thought it through."
Miyagi chuckles, shakes his head and tucks his hands into his jacket's pockets, "you're wasting my time."
"You weren't doing anything anyway."
They both laugh.
"School tomorrow," Mitsui states. Miyagi shrugs and grunts his agreement. "Let's play ball."
Miyagi nods and takes his hands out of his pockets, "we're getting repetitive."
Mitsui gives a small laugh and throws a grin at Miyagi's direction, "maybe we are."
"Is this all right?"
"Should it not be?"
Miyagi shrugs nonchalantly in response.
"I like it like this." Mitsui adds.
There is a pause. "Yeah," came the reply, "yeah. Me too."
