this post is entirely about me

Because it was my birthday recently and being a quarter of a century old makes me feel like I should really show off the stuff I've accomplished. Which are few and thus, this is mostly about me telling myself that THEY ARE NOT LITTLE BECAUSE THEY'RE IMPORTANT TO ME. It kind of worries me that these are conversations I keep needing to have with ( Read more... )

Thank you! She really is quite the model, when she wants to. I kind of hope so too, photography is definitely one of the loves of my life.

OMG THAT DOG. AND I DON'T EVEN GENERALLY LIKE DOGS mustbethursday3 August 10 2011, 05:02:25 UTC
I look at theses and all I see is future stock icons.

Or picture prompts.

...but that's because I like to simplify the world down to writing or graphics. Because I'm insane.

These are really lovely pics, in case that wasn't clear.

Love the water on the branches and the pics of your Mum look like they're from an interview XD

Hahaha, that dog is an old lady whom I've spent years trying to photograph semi-decently but she wouldn't let me because moving around is way more important than making your master happy. UNTIL I CAUGHT HER IN A MOMENT OF WEAKNESS aka old age.

Feel free to use them as you wish, credit would be nice but altogether not very important. DO AND UNDO, SISTER.

Writing is pretty much ALL THERE IS, and if you stretch the definition a bit further, these count as graphics too, so I totally get where you're coming from. We're insane together, that's the whole foundation of our interactions.

Thank you!!11!1 those are my favorites as well (the wet branches and my mommy), so see above point. XD

I absolutely LOVE the second one of branches - the definition of it is striking. beauuutiful.

A+ on the long exposure one, for real. I can never ever get them without just being a massive blur, ahaha.

Also your mum is so pretty!

basically THESE ARE ALL VERY VERY VERY LOVELY and you should be proud <3333

Also, come talk to me about GIMP? I've been debating downloading it for a while - mainly bc my version of photoshop is 2.0 (yes, yes you did read that correctly. There is so little on it that I've never really bothered learning how to do anything slightly exciting on it, hah) but I legit cannot justify buying a new one, ahah. I heard something about GIMP being difficult to learn how to use? What are your thooooughts??

(...I have a half-written email to you sitting in my inbox. Got a friend coming for the weekend, so if I don't find time to finish it before then, TUESDAY FOR SURE <333)

I have such love for that one!!! One of my favs, so I commend your excellent taste.

Thank you!!!!!! I couldn't believe it came out when it came out.

I shall tell her ::blows kiss::

Well, as someone who's never owned photoshop, I cannot tell you whether GIMP is better or not, however, as a perfectly amateur user who goes about it mainly by ear, it is insanely easy to use. Although, again, photoshop might be easier? My point is: being a mediocre computer user, I found GIMP a day in the park. Should be even easier for you, I guess. Um, there are tutorials that have been adapted from PS to GIMP so I'm guessing you can pretty much do the same things with both programs, I only use it for simple tweaking, but I've seen complex graphics/manips done with it, as well. I recommend it, is what I'm saying.

(I got that email and am half-way through finishing my reply. Btw, WHERE ARE YOU? I don't recall you presenting a note justifying your future absence, missy. Are you all right?)
