Went with my dad to to a Picasso/Degas exhibit today- I loved it! And according to my dad my great-grandfather or something looked a lot like picasso did when they were both old, haha, apparently there's a photo of this I need to be shown. last performance in NYCB summer season
So I went to NYCB's closing performance for the Saratoga season, on Saturday night. It's really too bad the season was cut to two weeks. They're bringing in other companies, but nothing comparable, and the other companies will draw much less profit - some people are refusing to attend for no other reason than that they won't go to any performances ( Read more... ) -

i have become like a cranky old lady in the audience
i saw nycb tonight, they started the saratoga season this week. first ballet performance i've been to since fixing my ankle, and as predicted, full of indignant thoughts 'i should be able to do that!'.
also, unfortunately some of the audience behaviour was seriously horrible- people continuing to talk (even on a cell phone) when the curtain goes up ( Read more... ) -

I don't actually know how to cook; there are some recipes (nearly all for desserts) I'm ok at, but my technique and attitude towards them would still horrify anyone who understands cooking. If you do, please stay away for your own sanity!
