Yes, it's finally done! Despite the title, this is NOT the last in the Supernatural series. There's one more following this, "The Long-Awaited Party," and then the arc will be done. After that, there may be more in this series or there may not.

Hakuba was PERFECT, loved the scene with Nakamori and Kid in the car, and oh poor Ran and Haibara.
And! Who can resist a ghost story? >D *purrrrrrrrrs*
*feeds you chocolate, since it is currently chocolate o'clock*

Hahahaha. Know that one VERY well. *glances at backlog, kicks kink-fic*
-Thank you for that song, BTW. Finally got a chance to sit down and listen to it today, feels very TGZ/TGA-ish.

"The Long-Awaited Party" will get to use a scene I've been waiting to use, and one that I like so much, it's in TWO of my fics. *This one and Four Kings, which is taking forever*

Ran's dream---eeek. But then, they are connected--of course Ran couldn't let that pass, even half a world away. Wibble!
Go phone translator! --and owie for poor Saguru having to watch that. Even knowing it was a setup ... nightmares coming true, right there.
Closure for Ginzou at last...
*mad cackling* The entire Shuu-kun scene and all its little details were beauty and jam. I adored them. Particularly the Holmesian's natural distrust of waterfalls. ♥
*wibbles* Poor Ai-chan.... she could've been happy with them... they'd have loved her forever and she'd make a new life. But .... I suppose it is a sort of running away, and we all know what Ayumi's words to Ai were on that.
And then. SHARON. Just ... SHARON. With Toichi for the opposing lead in all senses of the term~~~!
*faints happily*
ETA: let's try that with the right tags, shall we...?

The bit with the phone translator is drawn, in part, from my experience dealing with people who didn't speak my language while I was doing phone customer service for a bank. Those translators REALLY earn their pay. *Though I was much politer than Detective Tyler, really.*
Yeah, the waterfall thing is the big reason I don't believe Akai is dead. He's probably Okiya, but this was plotted out before that happened, so...
As for the Sharon scene... *grins* That one came out of NOWHERE and grabbed my by the neck, and I HAD to write it. It just fit too well with her...

One of my favorite sections is Ran's dream. It has the surrealness of a dream, dredging up the worst images and tying things together in a way that does and doesn't make sense.
I love how everything ties together yet leaves enough unanswered questions for future stories to fill in the gaps.

Like I said, there'll be one more story in this arc which should answer most of the questions and set the story to rest. Which doesn't mean there'll never be another story in this series, just that I'm finally done with the one I wanted to tell.

Teh best stories leave a few loose ends.

(I can't believe LJ ate my earlier reply -- I was going to say what a nice birthday present it chanced to be, but that doesn't mean as much eleven days later.)
And you had Ai giving closure to her friends, and Ran breaking her heart over Conan (and she's going to hurt over that, isn't she, poor girl, no matter what), and the scene where Kid and Nakamori call a truce without needing to actually SAY some of the things under discussion, and I cracked up over the bilingual situation, and ghost!Touichi was appropriately awesome.
