Oh god, was having flashbacks to 'Flint the Time Detective.' Do NOT want to see a cross-over with that. Pretty funny fic when I stopped wincing.

... Is that the hairy prehistoric man with a club that runs around with a bunch of kids from one time to another? *Very vague recollection of something of the sort.*

Yeah, Flint's a caveman with a decent amount of brain power given his origins (meaning not that bright, but more bright than you'd expect). His Dad was petrified into a stone egg by the main villian and the professor from the future that Flint works for turned the egg into a talking stone axe that Flint uses to beat up on the bad guys as well as fossilize and de-fossilize things. Flint and his side-kicks travel through time to find missing creatures that can time travel and bring them back to the Time Police for protection.
