The two Gryffindor's had been practicing on the pitch when Katie made a bad pass. The quaffle went missing quickly in the thick white snow and the two had to go looking on foot for it. IT had bounced and rolled all the way into the forest

Angie figured she was already sort of outed so stopping she took a deep breath.
"You're his best friend so I guess I wanted to know... what he's really like? For... the sake ofcuriosity." It was a shitty lie, the small cover. Curiosity was a big old fat lie but she did want to know what he was really like. "I mean some people act differently with their friends then with girls or family acquaintances. I guess I just wanted to know what a good friend thinks of him." She exhaled but didn't feel any better.
"Stupid is just your opinion, and I can't forget you asked, not probable." He would never fully understand why people said things like that.
"As for O'Dannihugh, he's very likely been himself around you. He only lies when he is trying to get something - and if he really wanted to anything from you, more than likely he would have already gotten it."
Miles had a delicate way of being a prick. The way he phrased things often made Angie want to kick him but he did have a point; annoying or not.
"Supposed so." Was all she said while hiding her face from the chilly wind. Daring to press a little further she eyed Miles curiously. "He hasn't... said anything... about me has he?" It sounded more pessimistic than eager. She expected Riley to have been tight lipped about them so as to avoid complications but Miles seemed to know.
She didn't look displeased. She looked mortified. "Didn't think so. No reason to." Angie wasn't upset because Riley hadn't mentioned her, she was terrified because she'd mentioned him. He'd wanted to keep it a secret and here she goes telling his best mate.
Biting her lip she shook her head more displeased with herself. "This might be a stretch but could you not mention any of this to... anyone?"
"No. I... I'm not upset that he hasn't talked about me. I'm mad at myself for-" She stopped herself and frowned trying to find the right words. "He has a reputation to keep. I don't want to ruin it and I wouldn't be much of a friend if I did."
This time Miles laughed, a short and sacastic one, but still a laugh.
"O'Dannihugh's reputation will not be destroyed by befriending a Gryffie. He cares for attention and popularity, which would increase rather than disappear with you."
"Oh really?" Angie didn't believe him. "Maybe attention but I strongly doubt he'll become more popular." She had her own little fears about it being in the open. More than a few Gryffindor's wouldn't like the idea, including her team mates.
"If befriending a Gryffindor isn't so bad why were you so adverse to having a little fun with us? Or that just a personal thing for you." Miles always, ALWAYS whenever she talked to him, seem to take the opposite point of view and Angie couldn't lie: it was irritating.
"Even if you were Slytherin, I would not have participated in your game. I'm sure you've noticed that I'm more of a reserved person." Very few people ever saw him let loose - really just his extremely close friends and, of course, his family.
"Oh I think everyone knows." She added quickly but felt felt a little bad for it.
"Well, it doesn't matter," The castle was coming up fast and Angie couldn't see Katie anymore. Probably inside.
"I know you said you don't really talk to anyone but you do talk to Riley." Angie need to somehow get it across to him what she wanted. "And I was hoping you wouldn't mention this to him." Maybe he knew she and Riley were in a fight. Maybe not.

"I never said I was 'concerned'. Just curious." Tucking some hair behind her ear she kept her eyes forward.

For some reason the look he gave her compelled him to also add, "Just because he doesn't mention you, doesn't mean he hasn't thought about you."

"Is that too much to ask?"
