Oh Paige, oh my heart. Hope is such a wonderful and terrible thing. One of the things I love about Paige is how brave she is, especially at her age, and you've conveyed that so well here. She doesn't cower from Allison, even though she knows it will only be harder for her. When she gets that letter, she doesn't even hesitate to respond, just lets herself get swept up in the hope (which of course makes the truth all the more devastating). And despite how easy it would have been to give in to her despair, she takes the harder road ( ... )

Dude, don't apologize - long-winded comments are awesome. They make this so rewarding to write (though I'm invested enough now I'd probably keep writing even if no one was reading).

I'm so glad Paige's bravery comes through. It's what made me fall in love with her as a character, that she never holds back, that she just does things even when it'd be smarter not to. I hope they continue to develop Paige on the show, too. They've already made her so resonant with so little screen time and it'd be such a waste otherwise. I also enjoy having Lindsey Shaw to look at.

Just as a warning, it might be a bit before the next part gets posted. I'll be out of town this weekend and I don't know if I'll have time to get it done before then.

I was ridiculously looking forward to this, even knowing how depressing it would be. But I just love how you handle these characters and I love how you write them. Everything just feels so real and all of Paige's emotions are so palpable. It physically pained me to read this fic -- but in such a good way, if that makes sense. Like with the last part, I could just see so much of my younger self in Paige .. oh, this was just perfect. I loved it so much. I'm so excited for the next chapter or chapters or whatever you might write next.

I'm glad it lived up to expectations. The terrifying thing about writing this series is that the storyline is so intense - it's Paige, it has to be - that I keep worrying about not being able to do it justice. It's always a huge relief to hear that it's working.

or whatever you might write next

See, it's dangerous to say stuff like that - a Paige/Samara plot bunny attacked me last night and that sort of thing doesn't need any encouragement.

Thanks! And interesting, about this fic convincing you Paige could be guilty. I feel like everyone in the pll universe is guilty of something, so I'm pretty ok with that.
