Gale

As I said in my previous entry, I'm going to share my experience of the convention in the upcoming days. But I want to talk about Gale now.

The convention was great and the cast was fantastic and we all had fun, even if Gale was not there. For those of you who were worried the cast might be bothered by fans about Gale's absence or that the ( Read more... )

It's in the little moments that you feel someone's absence more :(

Definitely! I really wish he had been there, for himself more than for us all.

Wow, the City walk was very interesting huh?
So much information about Gale. I would've loved to hear that.

Every time someone mentioned him (okay, it was always Sharon), Randy looked like "O no, don't start this, it could end bad" *LOL*

I did like the City Walk a lot. Randy and Sharon were both so nice with us. And I loved to hear Sharon say those things about Gale.

You said it perfectly, for a while there Gale seemed like the elephant in the room that you don't want to mention. But Sharon is amazing and she wasn't scared of doing something that I think was due. I really think Gale did deserve to be mentioned, because of all he's done for this show.

I didn't want to ask Sharon about Gale's movie, it didn't feel right to ask for more details. Hopefully we can learn something about this project soon. Sharon's words that it is a huge part certainly make me feel positive. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

This is going to come off poorly but I don't know how to word it differently without sounding worse. I find it odd that so many people needed Gale's decision validated by the other members of the cast. I though his letter and Scott's post on Facebook was really genuine, and that, that should have been enough to sooth feelings over this. However I am not you so I am happy you are feeling better. I am also pleased that so many others had a good time and felt better too.

I don't think it's about validation. Not for me, at least, and I can only speak for myself. I never thought Gale's letter was false or that Gale never meant to come at all, from the very beginning, so I didn't need the actors to tell me he wanted to be there. But not needing it doesn't mean it wasn't nice and fullfilling and sweet to be told by Sharon that Gale really does care about the show and his fans.

Thank you for answering my comment. I was worried that it sounded negative, but I am truly happy that so many people had such a good time and that in the end the experience was one of fun, excitement and healing. Who knows what comes down the roads we travel, Gale could be just around the corner for each one of us and we could all meet him one day.
