Sixth Tablet: Post Halloween shenanigans [Action]

[It was one thing to be actively involved with certain things that tend to happen in Mayfield, but to be forcefully pulled into certain turns of events that made him die and come back to life to hunt others only for the town to treat everything lightly as a joke? That did not make this beast master happy at all ( Read more... )

Enkidu? Is something the matter?

[He flings the stick father now for the dog to run away and chase it.]

Look at him, Saber. So simple to manipulate and control and all it takes for him to do so is just whatever whim I tend to choose...

... so tell me, what right do we heroic spirits are to be someone's play thing the longer we stay here while suffering the same experience to those whom run this place?

[She had been thinking some of the same...but was not sure how to properly vent it]

It is a shameful thing yes...but you do propose a solution?

Do what my brother and I had done before. Challenge the gods of this world.

[Hi, guess who walks by? Familiar face, yup.]

What's got you so steamed?

... this place.

[That's all that needs to be said.]

[She will just hop on the porch next to him.]

Touche.

Anything in particular?

Taking the only thing I have close to having a family of my own away, taking someone who is my life link to stay alive rather than on a time limit that is slowly ticking away the longer I live without someone's mana and to be this damned town's play toy to whatever it pleases whether or not we can choose to fight against it or not.

There are plenty of things. Just take one that tends to be more appealing to you.

Brother... I wish to challenge the gods here. Enough is enough.

I won't stop you. You should do whatever you want to do.

Good. Because if you did, I would still do it even if you stood in my way. And I refuse to quit fighting until I am put down permanently.

[Kiritsugu gives Enkidu a polite nod as he nears him. Recent situations, (losses, for the most part) have rendered him unable to care about many things, his hatred of Servants included.]

[And in return, Enkidu gives a nod at Kiritsugu's presence as he comes closer. Not really caring or worried about him coming closer by the second, his attention was more focused at an unseen enemy and a plan after plan after plan that kept coming to mind and instantly rejected for another the more he throws his stick to keep the dog running.]

...You look pensive.

[He's usually not one to meddle into other people's business, but it takes his mind off things. He's lost his daughter. Several times. His son. The return of his magic circuits only serves to grant him pain as they slowly but surely burn away.]

[In a rare case, Kiritsugu Emiya is not gathering information to operate with, but simply to disconnect himself from the world of emotions.]

Not only do I look it, but I am. I am not going to allow this place to toy with me any further...

Why are you making a dog chase a stick?

[The blond woman seems to just appear out of nowhere, watching him with a curious look.]

To understand a concept.

[Spoken matter of factly as he throws the stick again for the dog to chase after it.]

What concept is that? Dogs have simple minds? Or that they like to play?

mansfirsttrap November 2 2011, 01:23:34 UTC
How the dog will do simply what I want it to do just by whatever whim I choose. I make it chase after a stick simply because it can't help but be compelled do to so by my actions.
