It's the kind of thing where if you want to go, it's going to work out for you. My parents forced me to see someone for a little while a few years ago, and it did a lot more damage than it ever did good, simply because I was rather violently opposed to seeing anybody. If you go on your own accord, though, and really are there to accomplish something, it can be great.

Free things aren't always bad. Counseling is free for students because it has been realized that students are often times in need of counseling, but can't afford it.

I've just recently decided to use the free counseling services you're talking about next semester. I think they'll refer me to someone else if necessary?

So, I don't have much knowledge or experience with this yet... but -- do what you need to do, I'd say.

if all else, you can talk to the woman and see if there's a compromise that you can work out.
people can be reasonable sometimes.
otherwise, definately try the school service, it worked for me, plus you'll be able to use it in a few weeks.
